Abstract

This paper examines how counseling helps work-integrated education (WIE) students. It looks at how combining experiential learning opportunities in real-world work settings with integrated counseling services may improve skill development, job preparedness, and employability. The research illustrates the advantages of customized counseling programs that complement WIE activities via qualitative and literature review evaluations. The results indicated that counseling enables students to cultivate critical skills like communication, problem-solving, and cooperation. Similarly, according to the results, students who participate in proactive counseling and work-integrated experiences report feeling more confident and connected to their professional objectives. The study concluded that companies, counseling services, and educational institutions provide a nurturing environment that develops talent and equips graduates for the challenges of the contemporary workforce. Ultimately, the recommendations were put forward to the policymakers that a collaborative strategy for career advancement can greatly enhance long-term professional success.
