About the Journal
Review of Crime, Peace and Society (RCPS), ISSN (Online): 3079-6105, and ISSN (Print): 3079-6091, is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the International Centre for Sustainable Development and Research (SMC-Private Limited). The journal is recognised in the HEC Pakistan Y Category and is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of criminology, peace studies, law, and the social sciences.
RCPS provides an interdisciplinary platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to publish original research and engage in critical dialogue on issues relating to crime, justice, conflict, peacebuilding, governance, and social well-being. The journal encourages empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented contributions that examine the complex relationship between crime, peace, and society in local, national, regional, and global contexts.
Mission
The mission of RCPS is to promote rigorous academic research and interdisciplinary dialogue on issues related to crime, peace, justice, and societal well-being. The journal seeks to advance knowledge that addresses the causes and consequences of crime and conflict while exploring innovative approaches to peacebuilding, social justice, and sustainable development.
Aims and Objectives
RCPS aims to:
- provide a scholarly platform for interdisciplinary research on crime, peace, and society;
- encourage innovative and evidence-based research on criminology, conflict, justice, and peacebuilding;
- promote dialogue between research, policy, and practice; and
- contribute to the development of more just, inclusive, and peaceful societies.
Scope and Focus
RCPS welcomes original research articles, review articles, theoretical analyses, policy papers, and case studies in areas including, but not limited to:
- criminological theory and contemporary issues in crime;
- peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and reconciliation;
- social justice, human rights, and access to justice;
- security, governance, law, and public policy; and
- community resilience, social cohesion, and societal well-being.
Audience
The journal’s readership includes scholars, researchers, legal professionals, students, practitioners, and policymakers interested in criminology, law, peace studies, and the broader social sciences.

RCPS is an open-access journal and provides immediate and unrestricted online access to its published content in support of the wider dissemination of scholarly knowledge and global academic exchange.
